A simple word

Cancer.

A simple word. And yet so many different meanings. A word that asks a thousand questions. A word that I don’t want to say. A word I don’t want to deal with.

This can’t be my life.

What did I do to deserve this?

I can think of at least a dozen names of truly horrible people who deserve to die by this instead of me.

This can’t be my life.

Cancer.

Really?
